From Mod Series Scene
It was with shock that I learned that Denise Barry Dion passed away
suddenly today. Denise was the sister and spotter of Modified driver Ken Barry
(21), daughter to car owner Art Barry and wife to Wayne Dion, ProStock driver.
Denise had recently celebrated her 40th birthday. Swimming with her family at
the pool yesterday, experiencing sudden abdominal pain and then rushed to the
hospital last night, put on life support, and by early this evening, had
passed away. It only goes to prove my feelings, live every moment as though it
were your last, tell your loved ones how much they mean to you daily, do
something nice for someone today, compliment someone on a job well done, make
peace with someone that you haven't spoken with for a while, because tomorrow
may be too late. God Speed Denise. Know that you were loved and respected by
many. I know that Denise will be missed by the entire racing community.
